Dr. Reed is a Professor and Eminent Scholar at the Virginia Commonwealth University Department of Physics and member of the VCU Massey Cancer Center. Dr. Reed is responsible for our external commercial and academic relationships.
He oversees all testing and validation of the PRECYSE technology. Dr. Reed’s group invented the underlying chemistry for nanoparticle DNA barcoding and single-molecule multiplex qPCR. He has 20 years of experience in various aspects of single-molecule imaging and is an expert in the use of Atomic Force Microscopy for DNA analysis. He was an Assistant Researcher at the UCLA California Nanosystems Institute. Dr. Reed also spent several years on Wall Street as a research analyst at Morgan Stanley and a hedge fund.
He received an AB in Physics at Harvard College, a PhD in Chemistry at New York University and was a Postdoctoral Scholar in Physical Chemistry at UCLA.
